What is Vitamin C?

There are several derivatives of Vitamin C; however, its pure form, L-Ascorbic Acid, is known for its ability to be recognised by the body and readily incorporated into the skin compared to other forms. Dr. Shiva shares, “the efficacy of the derivatives of synthetic Vitamin C rely on how well they can increase the level of ascorbic acid in the skin - none of the derivatives does this as well as its pure form”.
